A massage of the cheekbones and jawbones is particularly effective with the heart-shaped side of the Gua Sha. Large areas of skin such as the forehead, cheeks, throat or neck can be massaged comfortably with the long side.
Place the Gua Sha flat in the middle of your chin, fix the middle of your face with your other hand and pull the tool with light pressure along your jaw towards your ear. Work your way up the cheeks to the eye area. For the eye area, use the heart-shaped side of the gua sha. Place the Gua Sha flat in the middle of the forehead and pull it outwards towards the temples and hairline.
